Bloomfield Hall instils environmental consciousness and values in its students from the very beginning. Students of many branches run the ‘Say NO to Plastic’ awareness campaign because they have learnt that disposable plastic, particularly plastic bags, is a major world issue. During art lessons, students make paper bags, which they later on distribute among shopkeepers and customers at supermarkets, all the while engaging with people on the need to stop the use of plastic bags and switch to more sustainable packaging. In many schools the use of plastic has been entirely eliminated, with zero use of plastic water bottles, plastic cups and plates etc. We have also produced and designed our own canvas tote bags, that children and staff are encouraged to use both inside the school and out.
