Roshaneh was one of the first A level students of Bloomfield Hall. She went on to do her graduation from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Finance and Economics and also holds a Masters in International and Development Economics from Yale University. Ms. Zafar is the founding member of the Pakistan Microfinance Network and sits on the board of several NGOs and networks, including Women’s World Banking, Pakistan Microfinance Network and Kaarvan Crafts. Ms. Zafar was one of the first Ashoka Fellows in Pakistan and in 2005 was awarded the Tamghai Imtiaz, one of Pakistan’s highest civilian awards, by the President of Pakistan for her work in the field of development and women’s empowerment.
Jawad Noor Butt
Jawad completed his ‘O’ and ‘A’ level from Bloomfield Hall and was one of the first graduates of University College Lahore where he completed his University of London degree in Economics. Jawad went on to do his Masters and PhD in Economics from University of Rochester (USA). Presently he is Associate Professor of Economics at Boston University.
Taniya completed her schooling at Bloomfield Hall. She then proceeded to the undergraduate degree programme of the University of London at UCL. She was awarded a first-class honours degree by the University of London along with a world distinction in Economics of Labour and the Best Performers' award from the University of London for the academic year 2010-2011. She went on to do MSc Sociology at the University of Oxford. Currently, she is a lecturer at UCL.
Omar completed his O and A levels from Bloomfield Hall and represented Pakistan as a debater. He went on to attain a BA (Hons) in Political Science and then a law degree from the University of Toronto. Upon completing his law degree in 2006, Omar joined the Ministry of the Attorney General in Ontario, Canada. He is currently working at the Ministry and practises primarily in the areas of Labour and Human Rights.
